Asana has appointed Chief Executive Officer Dan Rogers as Board Chair and added two new directors with experience in artificial intelligence and enterprise software as the work management company expands its strategy around human and AI agent collaboration.
Rogers assumed the additional role of Board Chair on 25 September 2026, succeeding Asana co-founder Dustin Moskovitz, who has chaired the Board since 2019.
Moskovitz will remain an Asana director and intends to retain his shareholding in the company. Krista Anderson-Copperman will continue as Lead Independent Director.
Asana has also appointed Jerry Ting, founder of AI contract intelligence company Evisort, and enterprise software executive Tom Berquist to its Board.
Leadership changes support AI strategy
The Board changes come as Asana develops its multi-product strategy around Agentic Work Management and Agentic Apps.
The company is positioning the technology as a way for organisations to integrate human employees and AI agents into shared workflows while providing the business context and governance required to manage their work.
Anderson-Copperman said Rogers had accelerated Asana’s product roadmap and its transition towards becoming a multi-product company since taking over as CEO.
“Dan has shown exceptional leadership since joining the company as CEO, and we look forward to benefiting from his experience and perspective in leading the Board and driving this next phase of growth,” she said.
Moskovitz said Rogers had helped put the company “at the forefront of how humans and agents work together”.
Outside Asana, Moskovitz plans to spend more time on wider AI safety initiatives while remaining involved in the company’s strategy as a director.
AI and enterprise software expertise added to Board
Ting brings experience in developing and scaling enterprise AI products. He founded Evisort in 2016 with a research team from Harvard and MIT, building the AI-native contract intelligence business before its acquisition by Workday in 2024.
Following the acquisition, he became Vice President and General Manager of AI and Agents at Workday, where he established its central AI organisation, Agent Factory, and led AI product and engineering activities.
Ting said businesses were increasingly looking beyond experimental AI projects towards measurable returns, efficiencies and operational outcomes.
“Businesses are not looking for more AI pilots. They need ROI, real outcomes, and real efficiencies,” he said.
Berquist joins with almost 20 years of executive leadership experience across enterprise software, alongside a decade working in software equity research.
He most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Cloud Software Group and previously held senior positions including CFO of TIBCO Software and CEO roles at Saba Software and Alludo.
Berquist said Asana had established a foundation for bringing people and AI agents together around operational work while using organisations’ existing systems, data and processes.
The appointments strengthen Asana’s Board as the company increasingly focuses its work management platform on coordinating human and agent-based work across cross-functional business processes.
