TransPerfect Legal is expanding its legal technology and project management capability in Saudi Arabia as demand grows for locally delivered digital, regulatory and investigative services across the Kingdom and wider GCC.
The company has introduced an expanded in-country legal technology offering combining Relativity Server, Reef Discovery and Brainspace, with the infrastructure hosted in Riyadh.
The model allows legal and regulatory teams to process, analyse and review information while keeping data within Saudi Arabia, addressing requirements around data sovereignty alongside growing adoption of AI-enabled technology.
For project professionals, the expansion is also set to create additional delivery capability in the region. TransPerfect Legal said it plans to increase its Riyadh-based project management resources to support growing demand across Saudi Arabia and the GCC.
Local teams to support complex legal projects
TransPerfect established its Riyadh office in November 2025 to support projects including internal investigations, litigation, arbitration, regulatory inquiries, compliance programmes and eDiscovery workflows.
Such engagements can involve significant volumes of information and require coordination between legal teams, technology specialists and other stakeholders, often against regulatory or litigation deadlines.
The expanded technology environment provides these teams with access to data processing, analysis and review tools within Saudi Arabia rather than requiring information to be hosted outside the country.
Karim Makhani, General Manager for TransPerfect KSA, said: “We understand the importance of keeping information within the Kingdom, not only to satisfy regulatory requirements, but also because our clients expect world-class legal technology delivered locally, backed by experts who understand the region.”
The combination of local technology infrastructure and an expanded project management workforce is intended to support the delivery of increasingly complex legal and regulatory assignments.
Project management capacity to grow in Riyadh
TransPerfect’s decision to expand its Riyadh-based project management resources comes as Saudi organisations continue investing in digital transformation, sovereign data infrastructure and AI-enabled operations.
This creates delivery requirements spanning data governance, technology implementation, regulatory compliance, stakeholder coordination and information security.
TransPerfect President and Co-CEO Phil Shawe said Saudi Arabia was becoming an increasingly important market for the company’s clients.
“We are pleased to bring internationally recognized technology to the Kingdom through a model that keeps both expertise and data local,” he said.
The expansion also gives TransPerfect additional capacity to support projects beyond Saudi Arabia as demand develops across the GCC.
