Project portfolio management software provider Prism PPM has been recognised as a Niche Player in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Adaptive Project Management and Reporting.

The recognition comes as Prism PPM continues to develop its SaaS platform with new artificial intelligence, planning, analytics and portfolio management capabilities aimed at project management offices and enterprise project leaders.

Gartner defines the Adaptive Project Management and Reporting (APMR) market as technologies supporting project portfolio management functions aligned with business units such as PMOs.

According to the research, these platforms are designed to support project and product delivery, manage complex resource allocation and provide progress tracking through reporting and dashboards.

“We’re proud to once again be included in the Gartner Magic Quadrant as Prism PPM continues to evolve alongside the changing needs of today’s project and program leaders,” said Caitlin Bowen, CEO of Prism PPM.

“By combining adaptive project management with AI-powered automation, intuitive planning and powerful analytics, we’re helping organizations improve governance, strengthen resource planning and give executives the visibility they need to make more informed decisions.”

Prism PPM expands AI capabilities

Prism PPM said it is continuing to invest in its product roadmap, including a modernised user experience and a range of AI-supported capabilities.

Planned and developing functionality includes agentic AI-powered workflows, AI-assisted planning, natural language querying and executive briefing capabilities.

The platform also incorporates native integrations and advanced analytics supported by Microsoft Power BI and Databricks.

These capabilities are intended to help PMOs reduce manual work, improve visibility across project portfolios and manage the allocation of resources.

The company is also targeting improved access to portfolio information for senior executives, allowing leaders to use project and programme data when making investment, prioritisation and resource decisions.

Bowen said: “We believe this recognition reinforces our commitment to continuous innovation. We will continue investing in capabilities that simplify portfolio management, improve executive visibility and help organizations make more informed decisions across their project portfolios.”

The latest Gartner recognition comes as project portfolio management providers increasingly incorporate AI and automation into platforms traditionally focused on planning, governance, resource management and reporting.

For Prism PPM, its current development programme is focused on combining these emerging capabilities with its existing portfolio management and analytics functionality to support project and programme leaders managing increasingly complex portfolios.
