Voltalia, a French renewable energy producer, has announced the signing of a landmark 526MW hybrid renewables power purchase agreement (PPA) with JSC Uzenergosotish, the state energy purchasing company of Uzbekistan.

The agreement covers the “Artemisya” project, a cutting-edge solar, wind, and energy storage hybrid facility located in the Bukhara region of Uzbekistan. This project marks a significant step in Uzbekistan’s transition towards sustainable energy solutions.

The PPA, structured to support the long-term viability of the project, includes 25-year offtake agreements for both the solar and wind power generated, while the energy storage component will be contracted for 15 years.

Once completed, the Artemisya project will feature a nameplate capacity of 126MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) power, alongside substantial wind and energy storage capabilities. This hybrid approach is designed to ensure a stable and reliable supply of renewable energy to the Uzbek grid.

This agreement solidifies Voltalia’s presence in the Central Asian market and reinforces its commitment to delivering large-scale renewable energy solutions globally. The partnership with JSC Uzenergosotish demonstrates a shared vision for advancing clean energy infrastructure and supporting Uzbekistan’s growing energy needs sustainably.
