Construction technology specialist SIS LLC has launched Construct 365 Copilot, an AI-powered assistant designed to help contractors and project teams access real-time project cost and performance data through natural language queries.
Built for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and SIS Construct 365 Project Cost Management (PCM), the platform uses more than a dozen specialist AI agents to provide instant insight into project performance, cost forecasts and commercial risk without relying on manual reporting or spreadsheet analysis.
The launch reflects the growing shift towards embedded artificial intelligence within enterprise project management systems, enabling project teams to make faster, data-driven decisions while strengthening project governance.
Bringing AI into Project Controls
Construct 365 Copilot connects directly to live enterprise resource planning (ERP) and project cost management data through Microsoft’s Model Context Protocol (MCP), allowing commercial, finance and project teams to ask questions in plain language and receive immediate responses.
Rather than waiting for month-end reporting cycles, users can access current information on project profitability, commitments, forecasts and portfolio performance in real time.

Strengthening Commercial Governance
One of the platform’s flagship capabilities is the CVR Command agent, developed for the UK market, which automates Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reporting by drawing directly from live ERP data.
The system provides project-level visibility of margins, estimated cost at completion (ECAC), forecast variance and project status, while producing executive-ready reporting.
Andrew Gilder, KPMG UK’s Head of Construction and Building Sector, believes the technology could significantly improve commercial oversight.
“C365 Project Cost Management, enhanced by the CVR Command AI Agent, has the potential to be a genuine game changer for Tier 1 UK construction businesses,” he said.
“By automating CVR production, reducing manual effort and drawing directly from ERP data, it can deliver faster, more accurate and more reliable project profitability insight.”
He added that earlier identification of projects under commercial pressure would help organisations protect margins, strengthen project control and improve executive decision-making.
Early Risk Detection
Beyond financial reporting, Construct 365 Copilot includes a suite of AI agents designed to monitor project health throughout delivery.
Among the new capabilities are:
- Commitment Guard, which identifies potential purchase order and subcontract overruns before costs become actual expenditure.
- Portfolio Health, which ranks live projects according to performance, highlighting those most at risk using RAG (Red-Amber-Green) status.
- Specialist agents covering work-in-progress reporting, forecasting, billing, subcontract management, change control, equipment utilisation, field data and risk management.
According to SIS, all agents operate in read-only mode, allowing organisations to introduce AI-driven insights without altering existing systems or governance controls.
Moving Towards Predictive Project Management
Mark Kershteyn, Partner at SIS, said the platform addresses one of construction’s longest-standing challenges: turning large volumes of operational data into actionable intelligence.
