FiveNines Group has completed the delivery of a 9.6MW hyperscale data centre for an international client, achieving LEED Gold sustainability certification while recording more than 832,000 working hours without a single lost-time incident.
The project marks a significant milestone for the UK-headquartered data centre infrastructure specialist, demonstrating its ability to deliver complex mission-critical facilities under a full general contractor model while maintaining high standards of safety, sustainability and programme execution.
The facility has now received its Taking Over Certificate (TOC), confirming successful completion and handover to the client.
Designed to meet LEED Gold standards, the project incorporated stringent sustainability requirements covering energy efficiency, water conservation and material selection. The completed facility is designed to operate with a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) target of approximately 1.16 and a Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE) target of 0.03 litres per kilowatt-hour.
During construction, the project reached a peak workforce of 560 people and accumulated more than 832,000 working hours while maintaining zero Lost Time Incidents (LTIs). The project also recorded an Accident Frequency Rate (AFR) of 0.21.
FiveNines credited its safety performance to a combination of proactive leadership, workforce engagement and occupational health initiatives. These included daily ‘Golden Hour’ leadership safety tours involving environmental, health and safety teams alongside project management, a Positive Safety Recognition programme, and employee wellbeing initiatives designed to encourage early intervention and support.

The project also made extensive use of Building Information Modelling (BIM), collaborative design development and constructability optimisation to coordinate delivery across multiple disciplines. FiveNines said these digital delivery processes helped support successful commissioning and operational readiness ahead of final handover.
