Mace Consult has secured a place on Sydney Airport’s Professional Services Framework to support delivery of an AUD $6 billion capital works programme covering terminal, airside, landside and utilities infrastructure.
Working in collaboration with TBH Consultancy, Mace Consult has been appointed to Lot 3 – Delivery Services, providing programme and project management, cost and commercial management, project controls, risk management, procurement advisory and delivery assurance.
The team is now fully mobilised and supporting a long-term programme that includes major terminal and airfield upgrades while Sydney Airport remains operational.
Planned investment includes an additional 65,000 square metres of terminal space alongside critical airfield enhancements intended to increase airport capacity and improve the passenger experience.
Integrated delivery support for airport programme
The framework appointment will see Mace Consult and TBH provide an integrated range of services across the capital works portfolio.
A significant delivery challenge will be coordinating the programme while maintaining operations at one of Australia’s major aviation hubs.

The consultancy will support Sydney Airport in managing the complexity and delivery risks associated with the long-term investment programme, including planning, controls, procurement, commercial management and assurance.
Capacity investment as demand grows
Sydney Airport said the investment programme is intended to provide additional infrastructure as passenger and airline demand increases.

The appointment expands Mace Consult’s aviation portfolio in Australia, where it has worked on projects and programmes involving Western Sydney International Airport with Airservices Australia, Sydney Airport, Brisbane Airport and the Melbourne Airport T4 Express Link.
Its wider international aviation portfolio includes work at Heathrow in the UK, Keflavik in Iceland, Schiphol in the Netherlands, Hamad International Airport in Qatar and King Salman International Airport in Saudi Arabia.
